Motion in Monochrome is a photographic exploration of presence, gesture, and quiet intensity, captured through the lens of black and white minimalism. Directed and photographed by Oray , the series studies the tension between stillness and motion, where the body becomes both subject and storyteller. Each frame isolates a moment in time, a curve, a reach, a stare…allowing emotion to unfold without the need for noise. Stripped of colour, the images shift the focus to texture, form, and feeling. There’s a mystery in the monochrome, a mood in the motion where expression is found in restraint, This project is a meditation on what happens when movement is felt, not just seen.
